Become a Barefoot Volunteer

Our fantastic network of volunteers host free workshops to help teachers increase their confidence in teaching computing. We currently offer three workshops: Computational Thinking, Programming in Scratch and Early Years, each lasting approximately 75-minutes and taking place online.

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, but it would be beneficial to have some knowledge of computer science and/or the computing curriculum. Our workshops are interactive with teachers participating in both ‘unplugged’ activities and also coding challenges.

Everything you need to volunteer is provided including online training, ready-made presentations to be used in your workshops, and access to our volunteering portal with further support materials.
